PP&S Kicks off 2012 with expanded OEM product lines
Year in and year out, PP&S is committed to being your single source for rotating and process equipment solutions. One of the ways we fulfill this promise is by continually expanding our portfolio of quality OEM manufacturers and equipment. As of late December, we’re proud to include more veteran manufacturers such as Vanton® and Megator® in our lineup, along with a turnkey “greener” option for environmental applications – AWT Bioworks®.
1. Vanton Pumps & Equipment
PP&S is proud to offer a broad spectrum of robust thermoplastic pumps from this industry pioneer. Vanton’s expertise dates back to 1950 when they designed a revolutionary plastic pump for use with the first heart-lung device. From this first contact-limited application, Vanton developed a whole range of thermoplastic sealless self-priming rotary pumps that became the industry standard for handling hazardous, corrosive, abrasive and viscous fluids, as well as fluids that must remain contaminant-free.
Vanton’s horizontal and vertical centrifugals deliver flows up to 1450 GPM at discharge heads to 280 feet and temps to 275º. PP&S offers Vanton’s horizontals to ANSI B73.1 process industry standards, as well as to ISO/DIN standards.
With a long-time and well-earned reputation for performance excellence, a Chemical Engineering Product Research Panel once again named Vanton their first choice in thermoplastic pumps by a 5 to 1 margin over the closest competitor. That’s quite an endorsement, and just one of the many reasons you can partner with PP&S with confidence.
Vanton is offered in the Carolinas, Virginia and Environmental markets. Click on your market to download a new line card.
2. Megator air operated diaphragm and scum pumps
Megator air operated double diaphragm pumps were originally designed for harsh mining applications (solids-laden slurries), and while the working life of competitor AODDs are only 3 - 4 weeks, Megator’s Pumps 2000 AODDs operate for over 12 months on average! The Pumps 2000 are extremely lightweight, consume half of the air of other AODDs and are built with long-lasting lubrication-free parts – all translating to ease of mobility and use, lower operating cost, and reduced maintenance and risk of injury. Made with conductive plastic, Pumps 2000 was the very first plastic dual diaphragm pump made, has the highest explosion proof rating available and is suitable for pumping applications in all industries.
Megator scum pumps are a superior choice for pollution recovery applications, including removing oil, effluent, sewage scum and various other nuisance liquids from the surface of water. They will handle clean or dirty oils of low or high viscosity, any mixture of oil and water, and any amount of air without loss of prime.
PP&S is proud to offer Megator throughout all the markets we serve. Click your area to download our latest line card: Alabama, Carolinas, Georgia, Virginia, Environmental.
3. AWT Bioworks® environmental solutions
With increased awareness of environmental protection and the challenge for meeting tighter discharge regulations, PP&S is excited to offer the Bioworks system as a turnkey wastewater treatment solution! AWT’s advanced “green” processes use biologics to remove pollutants and impurities resulting in a higher-quality, safer output. Leveraging earthen or concrete basins, a suspended aeration system, and fully automated operation, the Bioworks solution offers high process stability, with low capital investment, and low long-term operation and maintenance costs. Applications for the Bioworks system range from residential to municipal developments, from urban to rural and a variety of government and commercial installations, including resorts and military bases.
