Raising the Bar in Repairs
PP&S’ Reliability Center
in Charlotte, NC just completed a big upgrade – a new bridge crane
that now enables mid-range repairs of process equipment.
Installation of the 5-ton crane required the shop be opened up to allow a height of 16 feet. The structure is rated at 10 tons to allow for future addition of a second 5 ton crane or a single 10 ton crane. The rails are designed to be extended into the next bay of the building if that becomes necessary in the future.
This facilities enhancement expands our assembly and repair potential from standard to high energy pumps. A similar enhancement is planned for the PP&S of Alabama Reliability Center in 2018. Call your KAM or our Engineering team if you have any questions about this extended repair capability. (click image to enlarge)
